Co říká IceWarp Services s.r.o. o pozici
We are IceWarp - a Czech company whose product is used by 50+ million users worldwide, competing with Google and Microsoft. We’re an innovative technology company specializing in communication solutions, from email and team chat, through audio and video conferences, calendar and contact synchronization, to document sharing and collaborative editing. All in a unified environment, in the cloud or on-premise.
In short: we’re the European alternative to Big Tech and a lot of people are looking for exactly that right now.
Across Reddit, X, LinkedIn, Mastodon, Hacker News and a hundred forums, people are arguing about digital sovereignty, getting fed up with Big Tech, and asking out loud: “isn’t there a European alternative?” Spoiler: there is. It’s us. Most of those conversations happen without anyone from IceWarp in the room. That’s the gap we want you to close.
About the job:
- We’re looking for someone who basically lives on social media, gets internet culture, and can jump into the right conversation at the right moment, openly as IceWarp, with something genuinely useful or genuinely funny to say. You’ll be our eyes and our voice out there. No corporate-speak, no robotic “Thank you for your feedback” replies. Just a real person who knows the product and knows the room.
- This is a junior / student-friendly role. We care way more about your instincts, your writing, and your feel for online communities than about your CV or years of experience, although a strong tech background is needed.
What you’ll do:
- Listen across platforms. Monitor Reddit, X, LinkedIn, Mastodon, Hacker News, YouTube comments, tech forums and beyond for conversations where IceWarp belongs - people frustrated with Microsoft/Google, debates about European software, privacy and digital sovereignty threads, “looking for an alternative to…” posts. You'll work with social listening tools like Brand24, Syften and Google Alerts, so you're not refreshing Reddit by hand :)
- Spot the openings. Find the moments where there’s real room to put IceWarp on the map and flag or seize them fast, before the thread goes cold.
- Jump in, openly as IceWarp. Write replies, comments and posts that add value or make people smile. You represent the brand out in the open, so people always know it’s us.
- Create reactive content. Short posts, comments, threads, the occasional meme, fast, on-brand, and tuned to each platform’s vibe. What works on Reddit dies on LinkedIn and vice versa. You get that.
- Bring the insights back. You’re closer to what people actually say about us (and the competition) than anyone. Feed that back to marketing and product, the recurring complaints, the wishes, what lands and what flops.
- Help the community grow. Over time, help turn scattered mentions into an actual community of people who root for the European underdog.
What we offer:
- Long-term cooperation (ideally, we would like to continue with you full-time after your studies)
- A real shot at putting a Czech product in front of millions and poking the giants while you’re at it
- Flexible hours that work around your studies, we care about what you ship, not when you log in
- The freedom to come up with ideas and run with them immediately (yes, including the weird ones)
- Office in Karlín, directly at Křižíkova metro station
- Daily snacks and office-paid lunches twice a week
What we’re looking for:
- You live on the internet. You know how Reddit, X, LinkedIn, Mastodon, Hacker News and tech communities each work, and you can read the room on each one.
- You can write - well, and fast. Punchy, natural, human English (Czech is a plus). You can be helpful in one reply and funny in the next, without sounding like a press release.
- You actually care about the topic. The Big Tech vs. European alternative debate, privacy, digital sovereignty, this stuff interests you. You’ll be more convincing because you mean it.
- Enough of a tech background to keep up. You don’t need to be an engineer, but you should be comfortable enough with tech that nobody in the comments smells a bluff. You can hold your own in a thread about software, privacy or self-hosting without faking it.
- You’re a self-starter. You don’t wait for a content calendar to tell you a great thread is happening right now. You’re curious, quick, and you take initiative.
- Student or junior, but living and breathing Marketing/Tech already. Attitude beats credentials.
- A bonus, not a requirement: a meme game, basic video/image editing, an existing social following, or a second European language.
