GRANDOPTICAL - Junior Accountant

Your role

The Junior Accountant supports the Accounting Team by ensuring accurate and timely financial operations in a retail and e‑commerce environment. The role focuses on controlling cash and card transactions, processing payments and advances, supporting e‑shop and subscription activities, and assisting with invoicing and accounting closing. By cooperating closely with retail stores and finance colleagues, the Junior Accountant helps maintain reliable financial records and smooth month‑end and year‑end processes.

Main responsibilities:

Cash transaction control:

• Review and control of cash and card transaction postings
• Verification of benefit voucher and card payments
• Control of revenues, shortages and surpluses
• Communication and cooperation with retail stores
• Resolution of identified discrepancies

Payments, advances and financial operations

• Preparation of payment orders
• Recording and control of advances for store managers

E‑shop and subscriptions

• Management and control of e‑shop financial transactions
• Management and control of contact lens subscription transactions

Invoicing and accounting closing

• Issuing B2B invoices + Receivables management and control
• Administration, control and posting of monthly store expense reports
• Participation in monthly accounting closing + yearly Audit process
• Quaterly reconciliation of the relevant balance sheet accounts

Main requirements:

• Secondary or university education in economics
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles
• English on a communicative level
• Accuracy, responsibility and structured approach
• Good knowledge of MS Excel
