Astana Motors Czech is the official distributor of Chery in the Czech Republic and part of Astana Motors – one of the leading automotive groups in Central Asia with more than 30 years of experience, 9,000+ employees, and partnerships with global brands such as BMW, JLR, Toyota, Hyundai, Subaru, BYD, and Chery.
We are building our Czech team to launch Chery on the local market in 2025.
Role overview
We are looking for an HR Generalist who will support the full employee lifecycle – from recruitment and onboarding to employee relations, HR administration, and support in local HR projects. This is a key role in building our team and creating a strong employer brand in the Czech Republic.
Key responsibilities
• Support recruitment and selection process (job postings, interviews, candidate communication)
• Coordinate onboarding and offboarding of employees
• Manage HR administration (contracts, employee files, reporting) in compliance with Czech labor law
• Support payroll input and cooperation with external providers
• Advise managers and employees on HR-related topics (leave, benefits, policies)
• Contribute to the development of HR policies, procedures, and guidelines
• Support employer branding and internal communication activities
• Participate in HR projects related to company growth and expansion
Requirements
• Previous experience in HR role (2-3 years), ideally as HR Generalist or HR Specialist
• Knowledge of Czech labor law and HR administration
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Proficiency in MS Office; experience with ATS or HR systems is an advantage
• English at a professional level (daily communication with international HQ)
• Hands-on approach, flexibility, and willingness to work in a dynamic, growing company
