We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) to lead our efforts in preventing financial crime and ensuring regulatory adherence.

Role Overview:

As the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO), you will be the central figure for our Anti-Money Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT) framework. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing all aspects of our compliance program and communications with partners. You will act as the primary point of contact for the Czech National Bank and other relevant authorities, ensuring our operations fully comply with Czech Act No. 253/2008 Coll. on AML/CFT and other applicable EU regulations (e.g., MiCA).

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and enforce the company's internal AML/CFT policies, procedures, and controls.
• Monitoring clients together with other AML analysts and compiling reports on them
• Coordination of work in the field of blockchain analytics of crypto transactions in accordance with AML/CFT requirements.
• Oversee the daily operations of the AML/CFT program, including customer due diligence (CDD), enhanced due diligence (EDD), transaction monitoring, and sanctions screening.
• Manage the Suspicious Activity Report (SAR) process; investigate alerts and file reports with the Czech Financial Analytical Unit (FAU).
• Serve as the dedicated point of contact for the Czech National Bank and the FAU.
• Conduct regular AML/CFT risk assessments and ensure they are up-to-date.
• Organize and provide ongoing AML/CFT training for all employees.
• Keep abreast of all regulatory changes in the Czech Republic and the EU related to VASPs and cryptocurrency.
• Prepare and present regular reports on the status of the compliance program to senior management and the board of directors.
• Manage and mentor the compliance & AML team.

Requirements:

• Work experience as an MLRO for 2+ years, or professional experience in the AML/CFT field for 3+ years.
• Experience in the cryptocurrency and blockchain industry, or in financial institutions (banks, payment service providers, fintech companies).
• Higher education in Law, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• A relevant professional certification is highly desirable (e.g., ACAMS (CAMS), CFCS, ICA, FCA, CFE, or an equivalent certificate issued in the European Union).

Ideal Candidate Will Also Have:

• In-depth knowledge of Czech and European AML/CFT regulations, specifically those applicable to VASPs and payment institutions.
• Strong understanding of the risks associated with virtual assets, blockchain technology, and payment card systems.
• Excellent analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in communication with regulators, partner financial institutions, and compliance services.
• Fluent in Russian & English, Czech will be your advantage.
