Operational Buyer
Main Mission:
Ensure effective and timely purchasing of materials, components, and services required for production and operations. Maintain smooth supply chain flow by balancing supplier performance, cost efficiency, and material availability. Collaborate closely with planning, logistics, quality, and production teams to ensure optimal stock levels and on-time deliveries.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage daily purchasing activities to ensure material availability for production.
Place and track purchase orders based on MRP or demand forecasts.
Monitor supplier performance (delivery reliability, quality, responsiveness).
Coordinate with planning and logistics to align deliveries and prevent shortages.
Maintain accurate ERP data (supplier info, lead times, pricing).
Resolve delivery or quality issues with suppliers in cooperation with Quality and Production.
Support supplier audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
Identify cost-saving and process optimization opportunities.
Ensure compliance with internal purchasing policies and ethical standards.
Participate in supply chain projects focused on efficiency, automation, or sustainability.

Skills / Experience Required:
Experience in operational or strategic purchasing, ideally in manufacturing or high-tech.
Knowledge of supply chain principles and procurement processes.
ERP system experience (SAP, IFS, or similar).
Strong Excel skills for analysis and reporting.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Technical background or understanding of mechanical/electronic components is a plus.
Fluent Czech and good English (written and spoken).
