What you’ll lead
• Day-to-day assembly operations (mechanical) via a team of supervisors/foremen.
• Short- and medium-term capacity planning, sequencing, and resource allocation across projects.
• Cross-functional coordination with Planning, Quality, Technology/Engineering, Purchasing, and Logistics.
• Customer visits, shop-floor reviews, and buy-offs—hosting and communicating in professional English.
• HSE and continuous improvement (lean, waste reduction, standard work).
• KPI ownership: safety, delivery reliability (OTD), first-pass yield, rework, and productivity.
What you’ll do
• Translate technical drawings and routings into executable assembly plans.
• Balance workloads, assign people, authorize overtime, and remove roadblocks for supervisors.
• Escalate material/engineering issues early; drive practical countermeasures with owners and deadlines.
• Coach, set expectations, and develop people; give clear, timely, and tactful feedback.
• Lead daily stand-ups, Gemba walks, and problem-solving.
• Approve test procedures, readiness for FAT/SAT, and final documentation on the shop floor.
What you bring
• Technical education (Mechanical).
• Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manufacturing routings.
• Solid experience leading assembly teams in a make-to-order/job-shop/machinery environment.
• Confident English for meetings, emails, and customer interactions; perfect Czech/Slovak is needed
• Assertive, structured, and calm under pressure; able to make decisions with incomplete data.
• Hands-on knowledge of shop-floor processes (fitting, machining basics, hydraulics/pneumatics) and ERP/MES and digital factory.
• Familiarity with quality systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and lean methods (visual management, 5S, SMED, Kanban) is an advantage.
