Intern in Finance department

Job Purpose
This role is suitable for University student for part time schedule. The role is providing professional support to Credit Collection team as well as Accounts Payable and Accountants/Senior Accountants within the General Ledger team in order to gain solid knowledge of accounting and financial processes. We offer you an excellent opportunity to use your theoretical knowledge of accounting and finance and to get a valuable experience from a pharmaceutical company and its international team in Prague.

Principal Responsibilities & Learnings

• Prepare and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations including supporting explanations and ensure follow up on outstanding balances and taking corrective action.
• Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger records
• Communicate with other teams in order to get necessary inputs for monthly closing
• Support P2P team to timely and accurate AP invoice processing as per local tax and accounting legislations and company policies.
• Support C2C team to cash allocation activities on the assigned portfolios. Activities include daily booking of cash receipts, minimizing unapplied cash balances on customers’ accounts, liaising with banking partners, supporting credit analysts with account reconciliations
• Participate on other activities and projects that are realized in the team

Requirements / Expectations

• University student in finance or economics
• Strong written and spoken English
• Experienced Microsoft Excel user
• Very good numerical reasoning & analytical skills
• Team player willing to learn new things a support the others
• Proactive approach
