Systems Engineer (Level II / Advanced) – Flight Control Actuation

Location: Brno (hybrid: 3 days office / 2 days Home Office)

About the position:

We are looking for a Systems Engineer to join a team that develops safety-critical control units (ECU) for electro-mechanical actuators in aviation (UAM / eVTOL). You will work across HW / SW / Mechanics, define requirements, coordinate development and participate in validation, verification, qualification and certification of the system. The position is open in two levels – Level II (medior) and Advanced (higher medior); placement will be determined based on experience.

What you will do:

• creating system specifications for control units and individual development teams (HW, SW)
• coordination of functional groups (HW, SW, MECH, Test, Safety) and status reports to customers
• participation in architecture design, R&D (validation/verification) and qualification activities
• collaboration with customers, suppliers and global teams, alignment of interfaces and requirements
• technical documentation: requirements, test plans/procedures, results, design descriptions

Who we are looking for:

Must have:

• University degree in electrical engineering/mechatronics/IT (or related)
• Experience in Systems Engineering or HW/SW development with interest in SE:
• for Level II: from 2–3 years (we also accept university degree + ~1–2 years of strong experience),
• for Advanced: 3–5+ years with responsibility for coordination and system requirements
• English B2/C1 (daily communication, documentation, meetings)
• Ability to work independently, complete tasks, quickly orientate in new information

Advantage (not required):

• knowledge of aviation standards: ARP4754A, ARP4761, DO-160, DO-178C, DO-254
• experience with V&V/qualification and requirements traceability (V-model, evidence)
• experience with Configuration Management and versioning
• scripting in Python (tooling, test automation)
• experience with DOORS/Jama, Jira/Confluence tools
• technical leadership of a smaller team/project (Project/Technical Lead)
