About the role
We are looking for a reliable, proactive, and people-oriented HR Generalist to strengthen our HR team. At JetBrains, we genuinely care about our people, and this role plays an integral part in helping us create an environment where colleagues feel supported and valued throughout their journey with us.
You will oversee the full employee lifecycle and ensure smooth day-to-day HR operations for our Czech office, including preparing payroll data and other HR-related tasks. The ideal candidate combines strong administrative skills, confidence in working with HR systems, and a friendly, solution-focused approach.
As part of our team, you will
- Support the full employee lifecycle: process employee changes, prepare and manage legal documentation (contracts, amendments, confirmations, terminations), and maintain accurate physical and digital employee files.
- Prepare monthly payroll inputs (absences, leaves, and employment changes) and ensure timely and clear communication with the Payroll team.
- Manage and update HR systems to ensure high data quality and reliability for accurate reporting.
- Collaborate with our external relocation agency to support foreign colleagues during hiring and relocation processes.
- Ensure compliance with Czech legislation, including OSH/BOZP coordination, required training, and related documentation.
- Administer employee benefits and provide guidance to employees on their use.
- Maintain and regularly update the internal HR knowledge base, including processes, guidelines, and templates.
We’d love to have you on our team if you have
- A strong understanding of HR systems and tools, with the ability to quickly understand, streamline, and improve workflows.
- Solid skills with Google Workspace, especially in Google Sheets and reporting.
- Fluency in Czech and English, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally in both languages.
- Experience communicating with external institutions (e.g. labor office, Social Security, health insurance providers).
- A problem-solving mindset focused on identifying root causes rather than providing quick fixes.
- Proactive, clear communication with the ability to address issues directly and constructively.
