TU Prague City (https://www.tees.ac.uk/prague/) is looking for an Associate Lecturer on the BA (Hons) Creative Media Production course.
The modules you will be teaching on include Audio Production Skills and Professional Practice Portfolio. You should have good contemporary knowledge of audio recording and postproduction skills, with an emphasis on the creative and theoretical understanding of sound, supported by its technical execution. You will help students develop a critical understanding of the varied approaches to audio acquisition and audio post-production techniques for digital media productions using emergent and online platforms. Sound recording and multi-track post-production will form key elements of your teaching on the Audio Production Skills module which has an emphasis on digital delivery for professional broadcast, such as film, TV, podcasts, documentary, sound installation and cross platform media. You will help students develop a critical understanding of content creation, composition and audio storytelling, as well as analyse different audio production styles and formats, including non-fiction, fiction and abstract audio soundscapes.
On the Professional Practice Portfolio module, you will engage students with areas of professional practice associated with creative media production and the wider media industries to provide an understanding of the media jobs market, sectors and roles. You will help the students network with creative media practitioners and work towards building their own understanding of their professional development and employability skills needed for the wider media job markets. This includes helping the students build their own websites, CV’s and portfolio’s, ready for entering the media industry as a professional; you should have good contemporary knowledge of web authoring, blogging systems, social media, file sharing and networking systems. An applicant with professional experience and connections with professional film and media production is a must.
Required qualifications
Necessary minimum qualification of a Masters degree in an appropriate field of study.
Teaching is in English, to be held on-site.
