We are looking for a Legal Assistant to support our in‑house lawyer with drafting and reviewing contractual documents, maintaining and developing our contract database, and handling various legal and administrative tasks related to the daily operation of the company.
The position offers the opportunity to deepen your legal expertise, gain exposure to international projects within the DTSE Group, and further develop your language and professional skills.
We search for two new collegues (each approx. 80h/month).
Which challenges are expecting you:
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts in English and Czech, with optional use of German.
- Managing and continuously improving the contract database, including classification, metadata management, reporting, and version control.
- Implementing legal and internal guidelines (Legal, Data Privacy, Compliance) into contract templates and standard provisions.
- Ensuring agreements are aligned with Group Guidelines, particularly in Legal and Data Privacy areas.
- Conducting contract analysis and preparing reports for internal stakeholders.
- Participating in international projects within the DTSE Group.
- Providing ad-hoc legal support, including legal research, document preparation, correspondence, and record-keeping.
- Utilizing modern digital tools, including AI solutions (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT, and legal AI tools), for contract drafting, document comparison, summarization, and research—while ensuring safe and responsible use, particularly regarding data protection and output verification.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Law student in 2nd–5th year.
- Previous legal experience not required; experience from a law firm or in-house legal department is an advantage.
- Available for 2–3 days a week.
- Advanced English; German is a big plus.
- MS Word & Excel – advanced proficiency (track changes, formatting, tables, filters).
- Basic knowledge of legal information systems or willingness to learn quickly.
- Experience with AI tools (drafting, summarization, comparison of versions, research) or willingness to adopt them; understanding of AI limitations, privacy aspects, and safe usage.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.
- Self-organized and reliable, able to work independently.
- Clear and customer-oriented communication across departments.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and deliver high-quality results.
- Team player with enthusiasm for an international environment.
