THE OPPORTUNITY

This is not a back-office risk seat. It is the analytical heart of the company — where data, AI and credit decisioning converge to drive what we lend, to whom, at what price, and how we collect.
Monixa is the UK lending arm of Rockin Capital, a multi-entity group operating across the Czech Republic, the UK and Spain. The group is thirteen years established: balance-sheet credibility and stability behind a start-up's pace of execution. Our leadership has built and scaled lending at the top of the UK market, and the mandate now is to do it again — faster, leaner, AI-native from the foundations up. You join early enough to shape the architecture, late enough that the capital, the licence and the market access are already in place. A genuine once-in-a-career build.

ONE GLOBAL TEAM, FOUR CITIES

A single, tightly-connected global team — not outsourced functions. Engineering, risk and decisioning sit together across Prague (risk & data hub), London (market & commercial), Baku (engineering) and India (build & scale), sharing one data layer and one set of standards. Small enough that your work is visible at board level; global enough that you operate across time zones every day.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN

Develop AI and ML models for credit-risk decisioning, pricing and portfolio management
Implement AI solutions against the company's highest-value problems — production systems, not experiments
Automate processes using LLM APIs and agentic tooling across decisioning, operations and customer communication
Analyse data and build the reporting that runs the business: portfolio performance, approvals, collections
Build and manage data flows, databases and API integrations in Python, SQL and Azure Databricks
Identify and evaluate new data sources and prove their predictive value

HOW WE BUILD — AI-NATIVE FROM THE GROUND UP

AI is the operating system of the company, not a side-project. Anthropic Claude is our base internal AI; working proficiency with Claude Code and modern AI-engineering tooling is a baseline expectation, not a differentiator. We run 3× NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 in-house and are building local / open-weight model infrastructure alongside the cloud stack — you will help combine local models with our data layers to scale core competencies across AI, risk and finance. Wider foundation is open-source first: MySQL and Python, with day-to-day work in Azure Databricks.

WHO YOU ARE

Flexible on label — analyst, data engineer, ML engineer — uncompromising on capability. Part statistician, part builder, part business operator.
An analyst grounded in statistics, SQL and Python (R welcome), able to own a question from raw data to decision
A data engineer who builds and maintains data flows, works fluently with databases and API integrations, and automates with AI tooling
Genuinely engaged with AI, ML and data-driven decisioning — already using these tools daily, not learning them on the job
A strong business mindset: thinks in connections, understands how data shapes outcomes and direction. This is business intelligence, not reporting.
