Quality Technician

Basic description

Direct supervision ensures the quality of processes and products. Perform audits, inspections, tests, measurements, analyzes, sampling, keeps meters in good and calibrated condition, reports measurement results. Reports to the Plant Quality Manager.

Responsibilities

• Participates in project management (APQP, FMEA, control plan, SPC, etc.) based on customer specifications and requirements.

• Participates in and manages the homologation process for new parts (IMDS, Beon, etc.).

• Performs periodic product audits, sampling and homologation.

• Performs regular inspections according to inspection plans.

• Releases production / input material.

• Participates in and manages internal and external audits according to the audit plan.

• Regular training of the verifier team, production, maintenance and logistics employees with the task of continuous improvement.

• Analysis and management of customer complaints, 8D reports, and root cause analysis (5 Whys).

• Creation and updating of the defect catalog.

• Management of calibrations.

• Supervises compliance with process control through regulatory limits.

• Interprets internal and customer specifications to ensure compliance.

• Control and management of internal rejection (scrap) of the process (internal PPMs).

• Monitoring and controlling weight data.

• Maintenance and management of local control tools and connected documentation.

• Maintenance data from the SPC for quality requirements and process parameters, prepare reports.

• Participates in the creation of quality documentation.

• Archiving quality and production documents.

• Responsibility regarding metrology and performs calibrations by external companies and verifies measuring devices.

• Responsibility to management of control devices and their maintenance.

• Supports by management of customer complaints (overviews, analysis, preparation of findings for 8D, update of FMEA).

• Management of supplier issues regarding non-conforming material, including sorting, evidence, control of certificates, approval of purchased material.

• Support Quality Manager at work as needed.

• Applies ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 quality standards and specific customer requirements.

Skills required

• High school industrial or similar studies
• English
• Company Quality Systems
• Knowledge in IATF 16949, VDA 6.3
• Knowledge / Experience in VW Formel Q Group
• Experience 1 or 2 years in similar position
• Experience in automotive industry
• VDA 6.3, VDA 6.5, Core-tools update, certification will be a plus
