About Us
Solen Transport (S) Pte. Ltd. is a Singapore-based transport and logistics company establishing a new road freight transport operation in the Czech Republic. As part of our expansion into the European market, we are building a local team to support the company's setup, growth, and day-to-day operations.
We are seeking a motivated and entrepreneurial Operations Manager / Local Director to join us at an early stage and play a key role in developing the Czech business. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a growing transport company and contribute directly to its success from the beginning. The Czech company is currently undergoing incorporation and licensing procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily transport and logistics operations.
- Coordinate with customers, carriers, drivers, and suppliers.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients and business partners.
- Ensure compliance with Czech and EU transport regulations.
- Manage transport documentation and operational records.
- Support company setup, licensing, and administrative requirements.
- Represent the company before local authorities, banks, customers, and service providers when required.
- Monitor operational performance and identify improvement opportunities.
- Support recruitment and management of operational staff.
- Work closely with the shareholder and management team on business development and growth initiatives.
Requirements
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in transport, logistics, freight forwarding, supply chain operations, or a related field.
- Understanding of road freight transport operations within the Czech Republic and Europe.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent in Czech and proficient in English, both written and spoken.
- No criminal record.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in transport planning, dispatching, fleet management, or logistics coordination.
- Experience dealing with customers, drivers, carriers, or suppliers.
- Knowledge of Czech and EU transport regulations.
- Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) for Road Transport is an advantage.
- Experience with administrative, banking, or company registration matters is an advantage.

- Additional Information
- The successful candidate may be appointed as a Local Director (Jednatel) of the company following incorporation and subject to mutual agreement. And, will work closely with the shareholder and management team in developing and managing the Czech operation.
